BPF opened its 2023 performance season with a well-produced and performed staged reading at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center.
The second selection of the 2023 staged readings season will be Women and Money.
Written by playwright Jerry Staff and directed by Jamie Virostko, the play highlights “the grumpy, love-hate relationship of a mother and daughter in desperate circumstances that is upset by a young woman with a promise of three million dollars – if they accept her into their family for a month. What is a family anyway, and can it include people who aren’t related?”
The cast of Women and Money are:
Chloe – Leslie Jay Pittman
Vivian – Margaret Condon
Adele – Greta Boeringer
The performance will be generously hosted at the Eubie Blake National Jazz and Cultural Center, 847 N. Howard St, Baltimore, MD 21201 on Saturday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m.
A discussion will follow the reading and all audience members are invited to participate.
As always, BPF staged reading performances are free and we encourage everyone to attend and bring a friend to view the second of eleven staged readings that will take place through Thursday, May 16, 2024.
