Staged Reading of Pillar Rabbit will be performed on Saturday, April 13 at Eubie Blake Cultural Center.

BPF continues its 2023 performance season with the staged production of Pillar Rabbit by playwright Mel Holley at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center.

Directed by Tyrone Chapman, “Lunelle Pillar’s strength is tested when she loses her favorite son in the midst of her own battle with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. She finds stability in her partner and her home-grown garden, until the rest of the family come home to help bury the fallen Pillar and causes her ground to shake.”

The performance will be generously hosted at the Eubie Blake National Jazz and Cultural Center, 847 N. Howard St, Baltimore, MD 21201 on Saturday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m.

A discussion will follow the reading and all audience members are invited to participate.

As always, BPF staged reading performances are free and we encourage everyone to attend and bring a friend to view the staged readings that will take place through Thursday, May 16, 2024.
