Staged Reading of Patterns and Petunias will be performed on Saturday, April 25 at Club Car Baltimore

Playwright, mom and Baltimore transplant Cat Chupein’s Patterns and Petunias will have a staged reading on Saturday, April 25.  It will be directed by well-known local talent Lee Conderacci.

Patterns and Petunias is an autobiographical memory play about transcending one’s origin story.  While grieving the loss of her mother, Cat explores a midwestern childhood of secrets, lies, and family violence through absurdly comic relief.

The cast includes:

  • Cat – Cat Chupein
  • Irene – Rocky Nunzio
  • Julette – Barbara Wilgus
  • Celena – Nava Rastegar
  • Ensemble – Cole Grinnell
  • Stage Directions and sound/projections – Chris Uehlinger

The performance will be hosted at Club Car Baltimore, 12 West North Avenue, Baltimore 21201 on Saturday, April 25 at 11:00 p.m.. Club Car Baltimore is located at West North Avenue and North Charles Street.

A discussion will follow the reading, and all audience members are invited to participate.

BPF staged reading performances are always free and we encourage everyone to attend and bring a friend to view any or all of the twelve staged readings that will take place during the BPF’s 45th performance season.
