BPF’s next performance of the 2023 season is Lily, Arthur – a play with songs by playwright Steven Satta. It will be held at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center.
Lily, Arthur is directed by Leslie Byrne. It is set in 1944. “Private “Mac” McAllister lands a dream assignment with the US Army Entertainment Unit as accompanist to Miss Lily Arthur, the drag alter ego of Captain Arthur Lily. As their relationship becomes more personal, each must decide how they want to live and who they want to love when the war is over.”

The performance will be generously hosted at the Eubie Blake National Jazz and Cultural Center, 847 N. Howard St, Baltimore, MD 21201 on Saturday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m.
A discussion will follow the reading and all audience members are invited to participate.
