BPF will continue its Season 44 performance schedule with a staged reading of Apartment Swap by playwright Alli Hartley-Kong. Darren McGregor will direct this performance.
Romance novelist Lily, though unsure about the concept of marriage, enrolls in “apartment swap” to switch leases–and in turn meets three women at the end of romantic relationships. The past and the present collide in campy suffragist glory and encounters with the ghosts of bad marriages past as Lily explores what it means to be an independent woman.
The cast includes:
Jenn Mikulski – Lily
Michael Zellhofer – Gordon
Brittany Trexler – Heather
Joan D’Adamo – Marissa
Emma Hawthorne –Ada
The performance will be hosted at the Eubie Blake National Jazz and Cultural Center, 847 N. Howard St, Baltimore, MD 21201 on Saturday, March 22 at 1:30 p.m.
A discussion will follow the reading and all audience members are invited to participate.
As always, BPF staged reading performances are free and we encourage everyone to attend and bring a friend to view the next of presentation of eleven staged readings that will take place during the BPF’s Season 44.
