BPF’s Season 44 winds down with a staged reading of All Five of Us by playwright Ilana Jael Rothman. The production will be directed by Andre Tittle.
All Five of Us follows a tight-knit group of five college band members who yield to the temptation to get together in person during the COVID-19 pandemic. Told through a combination of flashbacks and the narration, this structurally unique play explores how the unprecedented events of 2020 turned the human need for connection into a deadly liability—and then shows how that same need can offer us a path towards redemption even after the unthinkable.
The cast includes:
Nick –Pablo Richter
Jeff – Enzo Leone
Isobelle – Madison Sims
Tiffany – Shomapti Hussain
Evan – Broadus Nesbitt III
Stage Directions – Lydia V. West
Terry Johnson Bey will be the Assistant Director.
The performance will be hosted at the Eubie Blake National Jazz and Cultural Center, 847 N. Howard St, Baltimore, MD 21201 on Thursday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m.
A discussion will follow the reading and all audience members are invited to participate.
BPF staged reading performances are free and we encourage everyone to attend.
