BPF Treasurer Kathleen Barber’s Play Bookends Added To Manor Mill Playhouse Master Class Presentation

Baltimore Playwrights Festival Treasurer Kathleen Barber’s play Bookends will be presented as a reading, part of the Manor Mill Playhouse’s MMPH Monthly Masterclass  on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 7:30 PM. It will be directed by Mark Squirek, who also has a play being read as part of the class.

The event – 10 Minute Play Round Up – is a collection of 5 original works in a reading format, collaboratively produced from within the Manor Mill Playhouse company.

The selections include:

Chop Suey by Mark Squirek 
Raptor by M. Eden Walker
Bookends by Kathleen Barber 
A Quiet Cafe by John C. Wilson 
Silenced Scientist by Mary Trifillis 

The evening will feature performances of each script, followed by the opportunity to discuss the plays and the writing process with the writers, directors, actors, and offer feedback.

The MMPH invitation invites everyone to “Join us for this engaging and enthralling evening of new theatre at its best!”
