New Play Reading ‚ô¶ “Vacant” by Kevin Kostic

Join us for a free staged reading¬†of one¬†of the new plays submitted by local playwrights for next summer’s Baltimore Playwrights Festival. Our next reading is on Saturday, November¬†19,¬†11 am,¬†at Fells Point Corner Theatre, 251 South Ann Street.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the reading is to begin. Readings of plays submitted for our 36th Season begin promptly and are followed by a short talkback.

The readings are free and are open to the public. Light refreshments will be available.

Vacant tells the story of Charlotte,¬†a recent widow who fights loneliness¬†by crusading¬†to save the¬†abandoned houses in her city. In order to get delinquent landlords to pay attention, she spray paints the owners’ social security numbers on the doors of their forgotten properties.

Kevin Kostic is an active member of the Playwrights Group of Baltimore and a consistent contributor to Center Stage Wright-Right-Now. His numerous 10-minute shows, full length plays and musicals have been produced near and far, including Unraveled on the Gravel: a musical and Passport, which each received award-winning productions through the Baltimore Playwrights Festival. Kevin lives in Baltimore with his wife and two kids.
