A peerless assassin, sent to end the rule of a cruel and selfish dictator, has been captured. Rather than killing the assassin, the Emperor is determined to convert him into a loyal ally by showing him the true nature of man, governance, and nature itself. As the assassin comes to know the Emperor better, the once-crisp line between good and evil blurs, and he must find a new approach to accomplishing his mission.
