Free Fall Production A Success

Last night’s Free Fall event at Fells Point Corner Theatre was a rousing success–thank you to the playwrights providing short scenes from your recently-submitted plays. Seven actors, Dan Collins, Timoth David Copney, Gareth Kelly, Jenn Mikulski, Nikki Singh, Sharon Weaver, and McKinley Wallace pulled multiple duties covering the scenes, as directed by Miriam Bazensky and stage managed by Sharon Weaver. Marylee Barnes lit the stage and Kathleen Barber orchestrated the event.

Speaking of orchestration, there was a scene from a musical! All of the playwrights attended and were able to hear reactions from the full audience to their scenes. Here are the plays and authors, in order of presentation:

Paper News by Pat Carroll
The Ride by Craig Nelson
The Redemption of Rube Moats by A.J. DeLauder
Peteys Parade by Jerry Slaff
Empires by Jeff Dunne
Sheep in Wolves Clothing by Herman Kemper
Small House, No Secret by Jody Nusholtz (book and lyrics) and Sonia Rutstein (music and lyrics)
Arnold Moves In by Andrea Fine Carey

Our regular fall and winter Saturday free public readings of these and other plays submitted this spring will begin soon–get on our email list or watch this space for updates.
